Online Admission Application Procedures and Requirements (ongoing until August 14,2021)

1. Please prepare first and save in your computer, notebook, laptop or smartphone the following initial requirements for admission to CEU:

  • PSA copy of your birth certificate
  • Certification of your grades for Grade 11
  • ID-type picture
  • Proof of payment of the application fee of Php300 (Payment button)

REGULAR ENROLLMENT PERIOD: June 2, 2021 onwards

  • Form 138 or Grade 12 Report Card or a promissory note; and

  • If you withdraw between the 1st and 2nd week from the start of classes, you will be charged 50% of the total fees; registration fees are   non-refundable.
  • If you withdraw beyond the 2nd week, after classes have started, you will need to pay the total fees.

Online Enrollment Procedures for Continuing Students

1. Login to CARES

2.  Check if you have pending Records for Clearance. You need to resolve your Records for Clearance before you can proceed to enrollment. (For concerns on balances, please email [email protected] for Manila, [email protected] for Makati, [email protected] for Malolos, and [email protected])

3. If you are cleared, click Enroll to SY2021-2022-1.

4. Click the Curriculum Flowchart to browse your current Year Level and Semester.  You can also view the grades in the subjects/courses that you have finished.

5A.  For regular students, select your Block Section Schedule and click Enroll All Subjects.  Compare if all the subjects listed in the Curriculum Flowchart are in the Block Section Schedule and see to it that you have enrolled all subjects as prescribed in the Curriculum.

 

5B.  For irregular students:

1.    Review the Curriculum Flowchart to determine the subjects to be enrolled.

2.    Make a list of subjects that you should enroll in, starting with subject/s that you missed.

3.    Choose available subjects and schedules offered in the Second Semester of SY 2020-2021 starting with the Professional subjects and click List Sections.

You can enroll up to the total number of units in the semester as stated in the Curriculum.

 4.  Select section/s and click Enroll to enlist subject/s at the left side of the Page.

Academic Calendar

The First Semester, SY 2021-2022 is scheduled on August 9 to December 21, 2021. To further ease your study load, we shall divide the semester into four learning blocks, consisting of five weeks each, where you will have a load of only two to three subjects per learning block. This way, you will focus on only a few subjects at a time.

  • Block 1 – August 9 to September 8
  • Block 2 – September 13 to October 12
  • Block 3 – October 18 to November 18
  • Block 4 – November 22 to December 21

On Matriculation Fees and Other Requirements

Tuition fees in the University will not be increased. However, appropriate adjustments on miscellaneous fees will be made according to the extent of implementation of activities covered by the fees.

  • The rebate for most programs is 30-60% of miscellaneous fees except for Dentistry, Nursing, and Music Production and Engineering where the rebate is lower.
  • Your studies will require connection to the Internet. While the study modules may be accessed using your mobile phone, there will be some activities that would be easier to do using a laptop or desktop.
  • We are also negotiating with telcos and making representations with government institutions to improve both the cost and the quality of your internet connectivity.

Tuition and Miscellaneous Fees

 

Dropping of Subject/s per Learning Block (LB)

  • Dropping of subjects can be done only for the following:

    • LB 1 attended, LBs 2 – 4 to be dropped (dropping shall be done within the 1st week of LB 2).

    • LBs 1 and 2 attended, LBs 3 and 4 to be dropped (dropping shall be done within the 1st week of LB 3).

    • LBs 1, 2 and 3 attended, LB 4 to be dropped (dropping shall be done within the 1st week of LB 4)

  • Passed subjects shall be credited.

  • The grade to be given to the students for subjects dropped is Officially Dropped (OD).

  • Dropping of courses shall only be allowed for valid reasons with supporting documents, i.e. leaving for abroad (copy of airline ticket is a must), sickness (physical) w/medical certificate from the doctor, mental health problem (depression, anxiety) w/ medical certificate from the doctor, death of parent/guardian w/ death certificate

  • Only tuition fees of dropped subjects shall be refunded. 

  • Miscellaneous Fees shall not be refunded.

 

 

Dropping of ALL SUBJECTS

  • Dropping of ALL SUBJECTS shall be processed not later than the scheduled Midterm Examination of LB 1.

  • Total tuition fees shall be charged for LB1 courses and full miscellaneous fees for the semester.

 

Graduate School Procedures

As part of the guidelines related to COVID-19, and to minimize the impact on students planning thesis/ dissertation defenses and taking the comprehensive, the Graduate School temporarily suspending until further notice the current Graduate School policy that require physical presence of students and members of the panel of evaluators at the oral defense. In the light of the current situation where physical presence is not possible, the Graduate School formulated modified guidelines on the oral defense and comprehensive examination

However, to be clarified on the matter, the Graduate School still prefers to have all members of the panel of evaluators to be present during the oral defense.In the light of the current situation where this is not possible, the oral defense will be done remotely via Zoom or other videoconferencing platforms.

Aside from the remote oral defense for Thesis and Dissertation, the taking of the Comprehensive Examination was also modified to accommodate the Graduate School students who are qualified to take the comprehensive exam. The comprehensive examination will be done online using the CEU LEAPS, the official Learning Management System (LMS) of the university.

3.1 Student Digital Well-Being. Digital Wellbeing Programs promote healthy use and proactively guide you to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Its goal is to inspire you on the use of technology to pursue knowledge, explore your passions and the world around or simply make your everyday a little easier by helping you develop your own sense of digital wellbeing.

3.2 Student Digital Citizenship. Digital Citizenship Programs will make you realize the importance of how to respect yourselves and others online. The activities will promote the nine elements of digital citizenship which will prepare you in a world full of technology: digital etiquette, digital access, digital law, digital literacy, digital communication, digital commerce, digital rights and responsibilities, digital security and digital health and wellness.

3.3 Digital Etiquette. Digital Etiquette activities will encourage you to have appropriate manner in a digital space. Our activities will equip you on social code and good behavior as you thrive and live in digital-global society.

3.4 Digital Safety. While busy with your studies and online activities, we at Digital Safety would like you to feel safe and secure in this digital environment. We will post pieces of information to arm you with knowledge on how to a keep hackers and cyber criminals at bay.  You learn on how to protect your selves online and apply good practices in security and privacy
